The 300% Rule: To initiate the vulcanization process, you must stretch the tape until its width narrows to about 1/3 of its original size.
Molecular Pressure: This stretching "primes" the rubber molecules. When wrapped, the layers press against each other with high tension, forcing them to fuse into a solid piece of rubber.

Q: Can this be used for pressurized pipe leaks?
A: While it is waterproof, it is primarily an insulation tape. For pressurized pipe leaks (100+ PSI), we recommend our specialized Silicone Self-Fusing Tape.
Q: Is it resistant to hydraulic oil?
A: EPR rubber has moderate oil resistance. For constant immersion in fuel or oil, please consult our technical team for specialized variants.
Q: How long does the fusion take?
A: It starts immediately. Within 5 minutes it is difficult to unwrap; within 24 hours it is a solid rubber mass.
