The 3/4 Width Rule: To achieve a perfect moisture seal, always stretch the tape until its width narrows to 3/4 of its original size. This tension triggers the amalgamation process.

Q: Can this tape be used on oil-filled cables?

A: EPR has moderate oil resistance, but for constant immersion in transformer oil, we recommend a specialized variant or a protective jacketing layer.

Q: How does it handle Ozone and UV exposure?

A: Excellent. EPR is an inorganic elastomer that is inherently resistant to Ozone cracking and UV degradation, making it ideal for overhead outdoor terminations.

Q: How long does it take to fully fuse?

A: The fusion starts immediately under tension. Within 24 hours, the layers are inseparable and have become a solid block of rubber.

Taking rubber, butyl and Styrene butadine rubber as raw material, the tape is made by film pressing method, It is elastic, insulative and waterproof.

Application:

It is used for jointing of 1~35KV electric cable connection and terminal insulation, for insulation, protecting and sealing purpose.

Use method:

When in use, stretch the tape to 200% in length, wrap at least 3~5 laps by continous semi overlapping, then use vinyl electrical tape to wrap 3~5 layers for protection purpose.
